    The wine selection this week is Francis Coppola Cabernet Sauvignon. Ivory Label Cabernet Sauvignon combines fruit from appellations as far north as El Dorado and as far south as Paso Robles, resulting in a richly textured, intensely fragrant Cabernet Sauvignon with supple tannins and sophisticated notes of spice and oak.

    2009 was an excellent vintage that featured only light spring rain, warm summer weather, allowing the producer to be highly selective during harvest.

    Ancient Age Distillery (now Buffalo Trace Distillery) revolutionized the industry. After taste-testing samples, founder Col. Blanton would pick an individual barrel he liked best and have it bottled. The bottles became his special select single barrel bourbons.

    Today, most distilleries offer one or more single barrel bottlings, but Blanton’s was the first, and we still believe the finest, single barrel on the market.
